Stay close to the task
Work with the screen in front of the person.
We’re building Surf to free people from everyday phone chores.
People should be able to ask for help where a task happens. Surf brings an assistant onto the Android screen, so a small chore can stay small.
Work with the screen in front of the person.
Use words, arrows and highlights to guide.
Ask before spending. Keep secure input away from the model.
It begins with a little white dot on your screen: a quiet place to ask for help, without leaving what you’re doing.
Surf is the companion behind that dot. It rides the waves of your apps, handling small tasks so you can get back to your day.
A task isn’t done because a reply sounds confident. We want Surf to check the result and be clear when it needs help.
Redact sensitive information before AI calls. Keep passwords and OTPs away from the model. Don’t train on user data.
No quiet purchases. Show the merchant and amount, then wait for the person’s approval.
We're working on an assistant that can be useful in the small moments: finding the next button, helping with a booking, or turning a repeated task into a Skill.
There is plenty still to build. Follow our design and engineering questions in Fieldnotes.
